Eureka Stockade

The Eureka Stockade, December 3rd, 1854, Ballarat was a defining moment in Australian history. It has become mythologised as the foundation of democracy in our country; a symbol of defiance of the working man against autocratic rule and the establishment. The sculpture acknowledges the significance of this day.
